Graduating initially as a community nurse with a focus on mental health and substance abuse, Paivi's journey took an exciting turn with her recent graduation as a counselor in the fall of 2022.

We sat down with Paivi to delve into her story, exploring the various chapters that have shaped her professional trajectory and the vibrant community she's found at Auroratalo in Helsinki.

"I've been working in mental health and with various disabilities for six years," Paivi shares. Her commitment to making a positive impact led her to tackle the challenges of adult learning. Presently, she's on a path to become a sociologist and a solution-focused, short-term therapist and job counselor. Balancing studies with practical experience, Paivi is currently engaged in client work related to her field.

Having studied commercial subjects and held diverse assistant and sales positions in the past, Paivi's work history reflects a dedication to people in various customer service roles. As a mother of three adult children residing in Espoo, her journey takes an exciting turn as she plans to launch her own therapy service and business.

Auroratalo is more than just a workspace; it's a community hub. Paivi appreciates the collaborative spirit among the small entrepreneurs and artists within the complex. "We have a good team spirit and the will to promote Auroratalo," she notes. This is a place where unique ideas thrive, and individual workspaces become expressions of creativity.

Paivi's workspace radiates her love for recycling and discovery. "I love decorating and want to create comfort and cherish beauty in the environment," she shares. Her workspace and the C-lobby of Auroratalo showcase her knack for creating a cozy atmosphere with a "zero budget" and recycled items.

When asked about her favorite place in the complex, Paivi's response is a testament to the well-thought-out community and infrastructure. "Auroratalo has good ventilation, which I consider important." The sense of community is evident, with a shared vision of promoting Auroratalo as a space for collaboration and development.
